The FireAnts Elite team started the 2009/2010 season off with an impressive 4-1-1 record last weekend in Feasterville, PA. (the Sportsplex). the team was led by former MVP Goaltender Jason Kalish, who played solidly in all six games. Forwards Jim Miller, Tyler DaSilva and Matt Zuba led the offensive attack while the defense maintained their sound play in each game. The minor team had some bright spots but struggled to a 1-5 start. I'm very confident that as the season progresses, the minors will bounce back to become a solid team. After a long weekend, the coaching staff is looking ahead and working ona game plan for the Fireants Home Opener vs The Boston Swamprats (5-1-0) this Saturday November 14th at the Zrink.
